The Housing Authority of the City of Kelso, Washington, and Board of Commissioners met in regular session at Kelso Housing Authority office at 1415 S 10th, Kelso WA 98626.

MINUTES: The minutes of the June 2014 meetings were presented. *****a motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes.

VOUCHERS: The Conventional Vouchers No 033021 through No. 033074 totaling $85,274.10 for the month of June 2014 and Housing Choice Vouchers No 066575 through No 066725 totaling $128,939.69 for the month of June 2014 and Local Funds vouchers No 5867 through 5883 totaling $59,936.54 for the month of June 2014 and FSS Voucher Escrows No1046 through No. 1048 totaling $6,384.97 for the month of June 2014 Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) for the month of June $67,320.68

BOARD NARRATIVE

JUNE 19, 2014

Public Housing report 1 vacancy, Columbia Apartments 2 vacancies, Chinook Apartments 2 vacancies and Cowlitz Villa 0 vacancies. Section 8 Voucher Program-total vouchers 265 and 7 currently looking for housing. Columbia Security has started sending reports of any types of activity in properties Kelso Homes and Cowlitz Villa. Only a few from Cowlitz Villa there has been some unauthorized tenants walking the properties and has been approached by the Columbia Security. Open Government Act Webinar, all Commissioners has been trained and is registered through the City of Kelso. Next training will be in 5 years to renew. New employee for Public Housing has been filled also our front desk receptionist, will also be leaving and will start posting for this position. New Logo was presented to Board. Currently he is working on our web site as well. SEMAP score was presented. Finishing up on the HUD review. As soon as we get all information in it will be submitted. We are waiting on one (1) utility allowance that Nelrod is doing for us.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1) Signature sheet for Open Government Act

NEW BUSINESS: 1. Kalama Vouchers

2. Resolution #265 Utility Allowance for HCV Program. Approved by S.

OLD BUSINESS: Jackie Collins would like to look at opening Friday’s again. In discussion with the board, most of the government agencies are closed in Kelso. The Board has asked me to ask the Staff what hours of business we could do for Fridays.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: Board went into Executive Session at 10:28 a.m. personnel issue Per RCW 42.30.110 (f) Board came out of Executive Session at 10:30 a.m.
